Good morning!
Currently, we have “grandfathered” DBA accounts where they were opened as Consumer Account Type but given a Business Debit Card. We have now required all DBA Accounts to be a Business Account Type.
We have a branch currently asking if their DBA Customer who is in a Consumer Account Type can choose to Decline on the Card Opt In status even though they have a Business Debit Card because they don’t want to be charged Overdraft Fees (are
also opted into Privilege on the account). Typically, if they had a Business Debit Card, we chose to mark their Card Opt In status as “Exempt”.
We were curious if any other banks have experienced this and how you resolved the situation?
Thank you!
