We don’t currently have a good way to track this either, we are in the same boat. That being said, John England from JHA Deposits was at the
most recent MARUG conference and let us know tracking enhancements for represented items is anticipated in the 2023 release. He said it would be almost certainly there for check tracking, however they were
working on ACH tracking, as that is a bit more difficult to specifically determine what is and is not a representment.
I can email John and ask for a copy of the slide deck for your review; unless someone already received the slide deck and can send out a copy to the group?

Good morning!
We wanted to get an idea of how other banks were handling the re-presentment of checks (where a check is returned in Overdrafts and then re-presented for a 2nd time).
Do you charge an NSF Fee for the re-presented check or waive the fee? If you do waive the fee, is it automated or manual?
Do you have a way for the system to distinguish the re-presented check if you don’t charge an NSF fee for it? Currently, on our System (Xperience) the re-presentment comes through with the same Tran Code as the first presentment.
We would appreciate any insight you could offer.
