Hi everyone,

We have been encountering some challenges regarding Reg CC. Currently we have a float set up in the core for all deposited checks. In order to use Silverlake Teller Enhanced Hold Automated, we have to remove the float from Silverlake, otherwise it doubles the hold.

Is anyone currently using the Enhanced Hold Automated on Silverlake Teller for Case-by-Case extended holds? If so, what is your work around? Do you have a float set up in Silverlake? I have reached out to Jack Henry and their suggestion is to remove the float from the core system. This is unacceptable.

With other core system you set up the float and only use extended holds in a Case by Case situations. If a teller extends a hold while doing the deposit it will double the hold. Another situation we have encounterd is the teller by passing the extended hold. If you view the Reg CC report it shows extended holds were applied to various accounts. If you view the Daily Float report, it shows just the float. This contradiction causes confusions when explaining it to auditors.

We would like to have a better understanding in order to provide proper training and procedures for our Branch staff.

I would apprecaite any feedback.

Sincerely,
