We are planning to do a slow rollout rather than a mass reissue. We shortened our expiration dates so that cards will expire faster and we can get the EMV cards issued sooner. Once we make the switch to EMV we will lengthen our expiration date back out.
For a question of my own – How many banks are planning on converting their ATM BINs to EMV? If you are not, are you getting rid of the ATM only cards or will you continue to issue them as non EMV cards?

Subject: SilverLake MA-RUG questions on EMV conversion
Quick questions for those Passport/MasterCard banks out there. In transitioning to EMV, are you going Chip & PIN or Chip & signature? What influenced your decision?
Also, how many banks are following the JHA recommendation and doing a very gradual roll out of the EMV cards (friends & family, then as existing cards expire), as opposed to a mass reissue?
