To clarify, we send out overdrawn letters every 15 days as a reminder but charge off at 60 days.

We send a letter after an account has been overdrawn 30 consecutive days; giving the customer two weeks to bring the account positive.  If the account isn’t positive by said date we close it out that day and report to ChexSystems same day.

Wondering if anyone would share how they report charged-off accounts, specifically the number of days before reporting?

Do you report the day it charges off?
Do you give the customer any extra days between receiving the last OD letter telling them their account has been closed and will be reported before reporting them?
